Bedrest Beauty...I made it to 37 weeks 2 days!!

We are so happy baby Macie has arrived. She was born last Saturday January 22,2011 at 8:41 am. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and is 19 1/4 inches long with blondish brown fuzzy hair. She is perfect and the most precious gift from above!!! We are so blessed and in love with her and big brother Rocco.

We can't wait for him to meet Macie to get to come home from the NICU. No kids allowed in the NICU in the winter season. She has been in a week and has resolved her high respiratory rate which was the reason she was admitted. She is also working on lowering her biliruben level and feeding. The last 3 nights she has began to gain weight. She dropped down to 6.12. The last few days she has had "bradycardias" where she drops her heart rate and oxygen saturation. The dr wants her to go 5 days without a "brady" before she can come home. Her last on was on saturday at about 4 pm. So we pray for her to continue to develop and grow. Macie was delivered with a c section.I went off of terbutaline pump on Thursday at noon and Friday I felt yucky all day. The dr said if I had 6 contractions in a hour to call. Friday night I was awoken at like 1:00 am with contractions and cramping. I got on my contraction monitor since I still had it. I had more than 6.I called they said to come in. We got there at 4:15 an and I was at a 2. They watched me for 2 hrs and then I was at a 3 and little sister was in a little distress and so they got me all ready for a c section and she was born at 8:41. The C section was fabulous. The recovery after has been pretty good. I had lots of leg swelling from fluids. But over a few days I dropped like 13 pounds of fluid weight. I feel a little tired getting back on my feet I think part of it is from the bedrest. My back and legs are not use to carrying around weight. But one week out and I'm feeling quite good.

Macie's middle name is Ora after my great grandma who I grew up nex to and was my bestest friend. Macie was picked by JonDavid and it was really the only name he liked. Now a week later she looks and seems like a Macie to me.
