The Move and getting adjusted

Well, it's been a month now in the big city of Indy! Let's just say we are still not unpacked. I have kind of hit a wall with the decorating and don't know where to start next. We are getting acquainted with the city and the town we live in. There is tons of great shopping, food, and lots to do. Its a very nice town. I have managed to drive in the city and on the busy roads a little. If you know me well that is a big deal because I don't like to drive on big busy roads!! I still have lots of mixed emotions about and it's been a little more difficult than I thought adjusting. It all takes time and I can't complain about all of our great blessings. We are still on the house hunt! JonDavid likes his job he is still doing lots of training and is in meeting for about 3-4 of hours a day. I guess I will explain that he doesn't sit behind the computer all day computing numbers, contrary to what people think. He's collaborating on a medicine for anxiety and depression. I find it pretty cool and like to hear about his days. Rocco and I have been frequenting the story times and one does a craft as an added bonus which Rocco loves. He has a great time meddling in the glue and twisting the tape. Rocco is now 2 1/2! Wow. He is getting as demanding as ever and I don't know where his sassiness came from. He is very skilled at climbing out of his crib and postponing bed time. We now have the Jack-n-the Box syndrome at our house. We did this for 2 hrs last night. What a rascal. We wouldn't know he was out but everytime he climbs out he slams his door shut!! Smart Rocco....Just like when he puts a dice in his mouth or his play money he runs and shows me...Smart Rocco! HE KNOWS...HE KNOWS BETTER! What a kid. We are excited for the upcoming Holidays and this fun time of year! Florida and turkey day posts to come

Well Sarah, if anyone can make you home in Indidan it is you, JD, and Rocco. What an exciting opportunity you have. An opportunity to count you blessings and to author a new chapter in your life.
With the love of your families behind you and the love within your family how much better could it be.
Love from Minnesota,
Dad, Rose, Jimi, & Toby

Sarah,

Glad to hear you have arrived. Your moving truck was massive! Seriously, it looked about as big as a house! Rocco is so cute and seems to be smart as a whip. I still have no clue exactly what JD does, but it sounds very interesting and important!

Iowa will always have a special place for us too! You will come to love Indiana and it will feel more and more like home! It is such an awesome place. We really need to get together. Could you email me your info. and I email you mine! You are welcome to come to our home anytime, we love visitors! You should check out West Indianapolis (Brownsburg) where we live. There is really no traffic and John's commute is 20 minutes to downtown with practically no traffic. I feel so much safer out here too. It's worth a look. I know there area where you live is soooo trafficy(is that a word?). How do you like it in Fischers? Are you going to be here for Christmas or are you going to Utah?

What an evening for an emotinal post. A couple at the LCPD just had their baby boy 13 weeks early and are at McKay Dee in Ogden, you know what they are feeling. I feel for you with the move, I just left Crescent Drive for 775 North and had a nervous breadown!!! Your family is so wonderful that you will quickly feel at home and have many friends. We can not wait to see you, Rocco can follow Ash around and Maxx will be right there! Love love!!!!

This post made me so sad! I miss you guys. Rocco looks like he has aged five years. And I really miss Iowa too.

The one thing that made me happy though is I really like your bangs!

Well...apparently you made all us Iowa folks sad with the post :). I am most sad/jelous that you went to the inflatable house! I can't believe I never went there and took pics of it. I loved seeing all these pics. I don't think I took them of stuff like that (guess I know where to look). It looks really cool where you guys are now. We will have to come visit some time. Hope that things are going okay. I miss you! And holy Rocco! He is like a little man now! So cute! JD, hope the new job is treating you well. You deserve it!

Sarah we miss you guys and I am having some anxiety about our move as well. Getting adjusted just takes time. At least that is what I keep telling myself.
